Sunday mornings at Mountain View Hope begin around a shared meal. Everyone is welcome—whether you come for breakfast, the food pantry, worship, or simply to spend time with neighbors.

What to expect.
Sundays at Mountain View Hope may feel different from a typical church service. We gather as neighbors from many backgrounds and circumstances, and our mornings are informal, active, and deeply relational.
At 10:30 a.m., we pause to pray together before serving a hot breakfast and opening the food pantry. Worship begins around 11:00, usually after the pantry line has finished. You are welcome to come for any or all of the morning.
Our worship is relaxed and participatory. We sing both modern worship songs and classic hymns, usually led by guitar, and make space for prayer, Scripture, and a sermon. Come as you are—most people dress very casually and you do not need to know the songs or understand church language to participate. Children are welcome. At our current library location, children remain with their parents or caregivers throughout the morning; we do not yet have a separate children’s area.
We are a diverse community, and sharing space with people whose experiences may be different from your own is part of who we are. We try to meet one another with patience, dignity, and grace.
Serve with us.
Serve with us.
Sunday mornings happen because people show up ready to work alongside their neighbors. Volunteers generally arrive at 10:00 a.m. and stay until about 12:30 p.m.
Help unload and arrange food, assist neighbors in the pantry, prepare or serve breakfast, welcome guests, or help with cleanup. Some of the most important service is even simpler: share a meal, learn someone’s name, listen to a story, or pray.
Individuals, families, youth, church groups, community groups, and people completing community-service hours are welcome. You do not have to share our faith, but we ask every volunteer to help us treat each person with warmth, dignity, patience, and respect.
Everyone is welcome to join us on Sunday. Before serving in a volunteer role, we ask you to complete our volunteer orientation form so you can learn about our approach and we can help you find a good place to participate.
