Today, September 22, 2026, Mountain View Hope officially closed on the building that will become the Mountain View Hope Center.

The Hope Center did not begin with a building. It has never been about a building.  But a building enables us to live further into the vision God has given us.  This mission grew from years of showing up—sharing meals, listening to neighbors, building trust, worshiping together, and responding to practical needs in our community. Over time, it became clear that a few hours each Sunday at the library were not enough. We needed a permanent home where this shared life could continue throughout the week.

Today, that home became ours.

We are deeply grateful for everyone who helped us reach this moment—those who prayed, gave, encouraged us, offered advice, and believed in what the Hope Center could become.

Closing on the building is an important milestone, but it is not the end of the work. The building is not ready to open yet. In the weeks ahead, we will be making repairs, preparing the space, and inviting people to help us get it ready to serve our neighborhood.

The Mountain View Hope Center will create room for shared meals and hospitality, practical support, worship, community partnerships, and relationships that grow over time. It will be a place where neighbors can receive support, offer their own gifts, and participate in the life of the community.

There is still a great deal ahead of us, but today we are celebrating.

We have a space. Now the work of preparing it for our neighbors begins.
